Project Description

The Tuscaloosa County Health Department (TCHD) has partnered with Tuscaloosa's One Place (TOP) to deliver pregnancy and sexually transmitted infection prevention services to high risk youth between the ages of 13 and 19 in the Tuscaloosa, Bibb, and Pickens County areas. Facilities served include, but are not limited to, Tuscaloosa County Juvenile Detention Center (TCJDC); Special Programming for Achievement Network (SPAN); Working on Womanhood (WOW); Re-Direction, Education, Accountability, Collaboration, Home Stability (REACH) and local foster care group homes. Curricula include Love Notes, What Could You Do?, and Making Proud Choices!
