<title>Health Department Issues Public Notice on Sewage Spill - Mobile Bay</title>
<description>According to a report received today by the Baldwin County Health Department from the City of Fairhope Utilities, due to an electrical problem at the wastewater treatment plant, an estimated 4500 gallons of non-disinfected effluent was discharged into Mobile Bay.  Also due to the electrical problem an estimated 1500 gallons of sewage was discharged from a manhole at the supernate pump area to Big Mouth Gully which empties into Mobile Bay.  The health department urges residents to exercise caution if using this water body for recreational purposes. Also, thoroughly cook any fish or seafood caught near by and wash hands after handling fish or seafood. Contact the City of Fairhope Utilities for sewer spill details. </description>
