The Alabama Arthritis Control Program's mission is to advance the health of Alabamians by improving the quality of life for those persons with arthritis. The program is a partnership involving the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH), University of Alabama-Birmingham Arithritis and Musculoskeletal Center (UAB AMC), and the Alabama Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation (AF).
The purpose of this website is to provide Alabamians with a regionally-focused source for information about arthritis and related conditions. By providing information for individuals with arthritis, as well as for health care providers who treat arthritis patients, we hope to positively impact the experience of Alabamians with arthritis through the provision of readily accessible, up-to-date information.
