Scale Back Alabama (SBA) is a free statewide weight-loss program designed to encourage Alabamians to get healthy and to have fun while doing it. Pharmacy Reverse Distribution Procedures for ADPH County Staff

The health care industry has developed a process known as reverse distribution to return some of the unused pharmaceuticals to specialized brokers for management - which includes a monetary credit. Effective January 1, 2015, the reverse distributor for ADPH will be EXP Pharmaceuticals Corporation. This in-service program is specifically targeted to the ADPH workforce who participates in the process of returning pharmaceutical supplies.

Syphilis Management for Clinicians

Syphilis, also known as the “great imitator” is a highly contagious disease during its primary and secondary stages. Program faculty will discuss the signs and symptoms of syphilis, screening and interpretation of discordant enzyme immunoassays (EIA) and treatment for syphilis.

Caring for the Patient with Urinary Incontinence - A Program for Home Care Professionals

Urinary Incontinence (UI) is the loss of bladder control. This can be caused by any number of reasons, but typically it is due to muscles in the pelvis that are either too weak or too active. Program faculty will discuss the different types of UI, causes, symptoms and ways that a Home Health Aide can help a patient dealing with UI.
