This program will discuss the purpose and design of Ebola treatment centers in West Africa, and how medical care is delivered in this setting. The speaker, a pediatric physician who worked inside a treatment unit in Sierra Leone, will provide a first hand account of his experiences.

Program faculty will also discuss how to formulate a differential diagnosis as it relates to abnormal bleeding and distinguishing the difference between the 2010 and 2015 STI treatment guidelines.

This program, "ADPH Employee Safety Awareness Video: Run, Hide, Fight", An active shooter is an individual actively engaging in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined and populated area. In most cases, active shooters use firearms and have no pattern or method to their selection of victims. Active shooter situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly. This training video, produced by the City of Houston Mayor’s Office of Public Safety and Homeland Security, provides information that is important for everyone to know during an active shooter event.
