ALPHTN - On Demand February 1, 2012

This program, "Inequities in Food Security Across the Lifespan: Cultural and Geographic Issues", discovers how social determinants like poverty, gender, and the environment all affect food security and health. Program faculty discusses how a lack of access to nutritious food leads to critical health problems, and provide insight on how to balance the inequities.


ALPHTN - On Demand February 7, 2012

In this program, faculty will explain the role of the Alabama State Employee Injury Compensation Trust Fund (SEICTF) personnel, as well as the injured employee and his supervisor.


ALPHTN - On Demand February 15, 2012

This program, "HIV Testing and Beyond: Promoting Linkage, Retention, and Adherence to HIV Care", describes the discrete processes across the continuum of HIV care. Information ia presented in the context of the U.S. National HIV/AIDS Strategy, which includes explicit goals for serostatus awareness, linkage, and retention in HIV medical care.

ALPHTN - On Demand February 29, 2012

This program, "Intimate Partner/Domestic Violence: The Fear of Opening Pandora's Box", discusses how millions of women, men, and teens are physically assaulted by an intimate partner every year in the United States. This training is designed to increase the knowledge of the types of violence perpetrated against those served in Title X Family Planning Clinics.

In this program, program faculty will discuss the various forms of abuse and neglect, symptoms, and the steps you need to follow in Alabama to report incidents and get the appropriate help for your patient.

This program, "Alabama's Parenting Assistance Line (PAL)", discusses how PAL offers parents, caregivers, and professionals a confidential place to turn to for support and education on parenting issues. Program faculty will discuss the assistance line and why its resources can strengthen family bonds and help prevent child abuse and neglect.
